Manado is located at the north-western tip of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi , just south of the Philippines . Its people stems primarily from the Minahasans, while its heritage is interjected with Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese influences. Bahasa Indonesia is the national language, but there are a variety of dialects spoken, with the majority of the population speaking Manadonese (a mixture of Indonesian, Malay and words from a few different European languages). North Sulawesi offers a wonderful combination of majestic volcanic mountain ranges, coupled with fantastic wall diving in the Bunaken Marine Park . No where else will you experience such a diverse range of land and sea formations, which complement one another like they do here. NEW FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Launched in 2010 and available only between May to October, Eco Divers will be providing a very specialized service for photographers. In co-operation with the new Digital Centre at the Kima Bajo Resort, a photo boat will take divers to the best local critter dive sites for macro photography. Each buddy pair will have their own private guide for spotting and safety. The Photo Boat will make up to 6 departures per day, between 6am and 10pm. This service is not pre-bookable, is very weather dependant and as spaces are limited, will only be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
OPTIONAL LEMBEH STRAITS BOOKING CHANGE (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Depending on availability, you can enjoy a 2 day diving option in the Lembeh Straits for no additional charge. You will not check out of your rooms at Kima Bajo, but will need to pack an overnight bag. You will be collected in the morning and transferred in an air-conditioned bus to the diving boat in Lembeh for 3 dives and lunch – your diving equipment will transferred prior to arrival. The evening will be spent at the Eco Divers cottages (maximum 12 persons in 2 x 6 sleeper cottages) where dinner and breakfast is served, from a varied menu of Western and Indonesian specialties. The cottages are elegantly furnished and air-conditioned throughout, each double bedroom is en-suite. Each cottage has a cosy living room with a large TV and DVD player, a separate dining room and an indoor camera room for photographers. After breakfast, you will check out and will be transferred back to the dive boat for 3 more fascinating Lembeh dives with lunch on board. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Kima Bajo Resort to continue with a fantastic and pampered holiday.

DIVING
Dive the teeming coral walls of Bunaken National Park's warm waters or explore the world's best critter diving in the Lembeh Strait. North Sulawesi has it all. There are more marine species here than even the Great Barrier Reef.
ACCOMMODATION
Your choice of accommodation includes 19 luxurious villas with a sunken outdoor bathtub and shower, an exclusive two-villa suite with its own private swimming pool and 12 spacious longhouse suites. All structures in the resort are designed and lovingly constructed from the finest wood, stone and other natural materials available locally, to create a style that is contemporary and yet very much in keeping with the North Sulawesi image.
Available for guests are 12 spacious, air-conditioned villa-style longhouse suites, with two twin beds or one king-size bed, connecting rooms, private ensuite western bathroom and shower amenities, and a beautiful, lush garden view. ITINERARY
Day 1:
Check in at 10h00 at Johannesburg International airport for flight SQ479 to Manado via Singapore. Flight departs Johannesburg at 14:35, arriving Singapore 07:00 (3rd October). Dinner and breakfast is served on board the plane.
Day 2:
Arrive in Singapore at 07:00, and remain in transit for flight MI274 to Manado, departing at 09h25. Arrive in Manado at 13h05. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Kima Bajo.
Day 2 - 6:
Check in for a 5 night stay in the Long House at Kima Bajo Enjoy 3 dives daily (2 x morning double tank and 1 x afternoon dive). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
Day 7 - 8:
After breakfast, check out of Kima Bajo and transfer to Lembeh Cottages. Spend 2 nights on a full board basis and enjoy 2 days of diving or snorkelling. Optional is 7 nights in Kima Bajo and a day trip for diving in Lembeh @ USD45 per person additional
Day 9:
After breakfast, check out of the resort and spend the morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport and check in for flight MI273 from Manado to Singapore, departing at 13h50. Arrive in Singapore at 17h05. Stay in transit for your flight to Johannesburg departing Singapore at 02h10am on flight SQ478 and arrive Johannesburg at 07:00am.
Day 10:
Arrive in Johannesburg at 07h00.
